Inside, our clean and cozy home is equipped with all the comforts they need, including private rooms for pups who prefer quiet time to rest and recharge.

In our home, your dog will enjoy a balanced routine of exercise, play, enrichment and relaxation. From daily walks along the scenic Arroyo Simi walking path to exciting backyard adventures in our secure outdoor space, your pup will stay happy and active. When it’s time to relax, they can stretch out on orthopedic dog beds, cooling mats, our comfy couches, or even snuggle up on our bed!

We offer flexible daycare options designed to fit your schedule, including half-day (4–6 hours), full-day (8 hours), and extended sitting (12 hours) services. No matter your dog’s breed, size, or personality, we tailor our care to suit their unique needs. In our safe, lively environment, your pup will enjoy thrilling adventures, stimulating enrichment activities, and plenty of opportunities to play, explore, and feel like the star of the show! 🐶🦴

Daycare Requirements

We adore your furry babies just as much as you do! To provide a safe and happy environment In our home, we have a few important guidelines to follow. Dogs must be at least 6-months old to join us. For pets over 8-months, we require them to be spayed or neutered. Female dogs in heat will need to take a break from daycare during this time. Additionally, all pets attending must be healthy and free from major medical conditions such as diabetes, epilepsy, or heart disease. These guidelines ensure the well-being of every dog in our care. Socialization is at the heart of our daycare experience. To ensure that every pup has a positive and enriching time, we require all dogs to undergo a temperament assessment before their first visit, doing a daycare test for a minimum of 4-hours. This allows us to evaluate their behavior and compatibility with other dogs in our care. By doing so, we can create a safe, fun, and stress-free environment tailored to the unique personalities of each furry guest. We believe that proper socialization fosters happier, healthier dogs, making every visit a tail-wagging success!

Our in-home daycare is designed to create a safe, fun, and engaging environment where dogs can enjoy positive experiences, socialization, and interaction with other friendly pups. To maintain our high standards, we kindly ask all pet parents to comply with the following rules and requirements:

**Age:** Dogs must be at least 6-months old to attend daycare.

**Gender:** All dogs over 8-months must be spayed or neutered to participate in daycare.

**Required Vaccinations:** To ensure the health and safety of all dogs, we require up-to-date vaccination records. Pet parents must provide proof from their veterinarian confirming their dog is current on the following vaccinations:

• Rabies (1-year or 3-year)
• Distemper Combo
• Leptospirosis
• Bordetella (required every 6 months)*
• Canine Influenza (both part 1 and part 2)

*Note on the Bordetella Vaccine: This vaccine must be administered every 6-months, and we only accept the intranasal or oral forms. Intranasal is preferred as it offers additional protection against parainfluenza. A 10-day waiting period is required for dogs receiving their first Bordetella vaccine or those overdue by more than 6-months before joining daycare.

**Parasite Prevention:** All dogs must be parasite-free, including fleas, ticks, and intestinal parasites. Year-round heartworm and flea prevention prescribed by a veterinarian is mandatory. Dogs must also be current to on annual fecal testing. Tick prevention is encouraged, so please consult your vet about the best options for your pet.

**Health:** Dogs attending daycare must be in good health and free of any conditions that may pose a risk to others. If a dog has been ill with a communicable condition in the past 30 days, a vet’s certification of health will be required before returning to daycare.

**Behavior:** For the safety of all, we cannot accept dogs with a history of aggression toward other dogs or people. Pet parents must certify that their dog has no aggressive tendencies.

**Enrollment:** All dogs must complete our enrollment process and successfully pass an evaluation before attending daycare.

**Attendance Policy:** Reservations are required for daycare attendance. If you need to cancel, we kindly ask for as much notice as possible. Dogs who have recently attended another daycare or boarding facility should wait at least 10 days before joining PAWsome Companions.

**Dress Code:** For safety reasons, all dogs must arrive on a leash wearing a flat, quick-release snap-on collar. Collars should fit comfortably—not too tight or too loose. Identification tags on the daycare collar are recommended. We do not permit buckle, prong, or choke collars, and these will be removed upon arrival.

**Restrictions:** We reserve the right to decline enrollment for any dog at any time if we feel their participation could create an unsafe environment. While we strive to accommodate as many pets as possible, not every dog may thrive in our daycare setting.
