What is a ByteTag?
A ByteTag is a scannable pet tag that consolidates all your pet's vital information into one convenient profile. Accessible through a QR code on the back of the tag or a unique URL link, ByteTags efficiently share your pet’s details using QR codes and URLs. By scanning the QR code or entering the URL associated with your tag, you can access your pet's profile.
When the QR code is scanned, a pet profile displaying our business information will automatically load. Our ByteTag pet profile includes crucial details to ensure the safe return of your pet. It features our contact number, address, two additional contacts (our team members), and a brief explanation of the pet's custody status with us as pet sitters, urging immediate contact. Upon scanning the pet tag, all team members are promptly notified. The scan also shares your pets location with us so we can respond promptly.

To verify membership and insurance, you may request the one-page member certificate from the pet care provider. This has the effective dates and optional coverages listed on it. You may also ask for their five-digit member ID, which is how we confirm their membership and account.
