We're also both pet enthusiasts who cater to animals of all ages and types, specializing in large and giant breeds, senior pets, and rescues.

My name is Amber, and I am one of the proud owners of PAWsome Companions, a dedicated pet care business that specializes in providing exceptional pet sitting and dog walking services right in the heart of beautiful Ventura County, with our service area expanding to the Los Angeles area. I'm the proud dog Mommy to my 2 year old gentle giant Gunnar, a Great Pyrenees and my crazy boy Canelo, a beautiful fawn colored American Pit Bull Terrier.
My journey into the world of pet care has been driven by an unwavering love and compassion for our furry friends. Over the years, I have embraced various roles within this field, including serving as the CEO of my company, while also holding certifications as a Certified Professional Pet Sitter and a Fear-Free Certified Pet Sitter. However, beyond these titles, my true mission is to ensure that our pets lead happy, healthy lives. To that end, I have pursued a diverse array of certifications and training that enable me to care for pets with specific needs, such as those facing health challenges like cancer, as well as understanding the nuances of their behavior and how to transport them safely and comfortably. My thirst for knowledge is insatiable, and I am continually seeking opportunities to expand my expertise, all for the benefit of the beloved companions we share our lives with.

A bit about me: I’m a Marine veteran, and that experience has given me some valuable skills, especially when it comes to handling larger dogs or those with a bit more personality. The discipline and patience I learned in the military really help me tailor my approach to meet each pet’s individual needs. I believe that every animal is special, and I’m committed to providing care that reflects their quirks and requirements.
As the Lead Dog Walker and Etiquette Trainer at PAWsome Companions, I offer a wide range of services to keep your pets happy and healthy. Whether it’s a leisurely stroll for our senior dogs who enjoy a slower pace or an exciting adventure hike for those energetic pups, I make sure every outing is enriching. I see walks as more than just a routine—they’re a chance for your pet to explore, exercise, and socialize.
